Romanza-designed Anguilla model will feature casual coastal interior design

NAPLES, Fla. (Dec. 15, 2015) – London Bay Homes has selected award-winning Romanza Interior Design to create the interior design of its fourth luxury custom home under construction near the old Naples area. Located at 541 Neapolitan Lane in Park Shore, the three-bedroom, three-bath Anguilla is just blocks from shopping and dining at the picturesque Village on Venetian Bay and the Gulf of Mexico beaches at Clam Pass Park.

Romanza Interior Design’s Jennifer Stevens will use driftwood-toned flooring and the colors of sea, sky and sand to create a modern Florida casual aesthetic for the 3,584-square-foot Anguilla model.

The one-story Anguilla will offer a formal dining room, an open floor plan between great room, kitchen and café, and expansive alfresco living and dining areas overlooking the custom pool and spa. The home also will have side-loading one- and two-car garages.

Inside the Anguilla, Stevens will introduce textural fabrics complemented by glimmers of metallic and antique mirrors playing off mostly crisp-white backgrounds. Light hardwood French oak Provence flooring will be used throughout the model’s main gathering areas, creating a rustic, sun-bleached backdrop for coastal embellishments.

A serene color palette of blues, aqua and sands will evoke relaxation, while contemporary light fixtures impart a right-now ambience.

“The interior will feature a trio of backlit coffers in the kitchen and simple but sculptural ceiling treatments throughout, accented with strong contemporary lighting,” said Stevens. “Visitors also will remember the pool area, which will have a raised wooden deck – something we seldom see in Southwest Florida – and contemporary furnishings.”

Romanza will introduce specialty wall and ceiling treatments in the foyer, which will feature a combination of lighting fixtures, including one with an antique mirror shade and another with a basketweave pattern to add another level of texture. The details also will foreshadow designer ceiling and wall treatments throughout the rest of the model.

The dining room opens from the foyer and into the great room, unveiling a tray ceiling inset with wallcovering and a gunmetal bronze chandelier, a square glass-top table with a rustic natural base, and chairs upholstered in a geometric basketweave pattern of citron and ivory.

The great room will feature an ivory sofa, textural pale blue grasscloth accented in the media niche, and colors of teal, taupe and citron in the upholstery.

A wet bar next to the dining room also serves the great room. It will offer two under-counter refrigerators and drift slate-finished maple cabinets with a sea pearl countertop and glass shelves built into a mirrored niche.

The kitchen will offer a freestanding island breakfast bar and glacier-finished maple perimeter cabinetry with pure white quartz countertops paired with a crystal white backsplash. The kitchen also will feature a paneled Sub-Zero refrigerator and separate paneled Sub-Zero freezer. It will also have a gas Wolf cooktop, single wall oven, black microwave oven, stainless steel Bosch dishwasher in the center island and paneled warming drawer.

Additional designer embellishments include a backlit tray ceiling with floating beams.

Nearby, the café will feature a table with a trestle base and solid wood top in a natural waxed finish, encircled by snow-white upholstered chairs.

Occupying an entire wing of the Anguilla, the master suite will offer his-and-her walk-in closets, a king-sized four-poster bed in the bedroom, and accessories with silver and custom French gray finishes, obsidian mirrors, glass and metal. An upholstered bench brings the colors of sand, beach and clouds into the room.

The master bathroom will offer his-and-her water closets and pebble-finished vanities with white vessel sinks. The ceiling will feature a floating backlit detail. The bath also will offer a large shower and a separate freestanding tub under the window.

One of the Anguilla’s two guest rooms will feature a king-sized slip-covered bed upholstered in linen-colored fabric and a pendant light with a silver mercury glass shade. Coastal references will appear in the clam shell lamp, artwork and in the wave relief on the shower wall of its private full bath.

The second guest bedroom will offer a fully upholstered queen-sized bed with an off-white textural fabric, a 12-drawer off-white chest, and a burst of color in the royal blue of a raffia bedside table with nail-head trim. Its bathroom will have porcelain tile flooring in a herringbone pattern and a quartet of artwork in various shades of blue.

The Anguilla positions the study to the back of the home, giving it pool views and zero-corner pocketing doors opening to the large outdoor living area. This retreat will offer two desks, cabinetry built into a niche, and dark blue, gray and neutral hues in side chairs and an ottoman.

Both the outdoor living area and great room lanai will have tongue-and-groove ceilings painted white. The larger area will offer roll-down screens and a summer kitchen with a grill, sink and under-counter refrigerator.

The home’s sun decks – both under roof and open – will be finished with shellstone pavers. The outdoor area also will feature a white-painted trellis and garden wall, and a pool and spa with mosaic gray, beige, frosted aqua and green glass tile. The raised wood deck features a weatherproof wood plank material, affording the look without the maintenance issues of wood.

“Visitors will really connect with the resort-inspired outdoor areas,” Stevens said. “We’ve selected contemporary furnishings, including Gloster’s Eclipse lounger on the deck and Nomad sectional lounge furnishings under roof.”

Exterior features of the Anguilla will showcase coastal contemporary architecture accented with Bahama shutters, a slate-gray metal roof, ornamental metal around windows, and a vented cupola.

The Anguilla offers 5,185 total square feet, including entry, lanai, garages and outdoor living areas. The model is expected to be completed in January 2016.
