Garnering Interior Design of the Year-Remodel, Best Kitchen Design and Best Master Suite, the stunning residence was transformed by an experienced design team for overseas clients that envisioned a sophisticated retreat incorporating a comfortable, coastal style reflecting their love of art and entertaining.
The teams at Romanza Interior Design and London Bay Renovation collaborated to completely reimagine the floor plan, creating an open-concept design while expanding beach and Gulf of Mexico views and natural sunlight throughout the third-floor residence’s 4,000 square feet. Blending a previously separated great room and family room into an open entertainment area, as well as creating a second master suite, a guest cottage and fourth bedroom, offers ample room for accommodating guests.Therenovationalsoprovided additional storage, combined two walk-in master closets into a spacious wardrobe room and introduced the views from the elegant foyer hallway.
The redesigned kitchen features an oversized island and pale blue-gray painted cabinetry incorporating wall ovens, a concealed full-size refrigerator and freezer and full height wine storage.Anew bar in the family room boasts stylish navy cabinetry and a convenient beverage center.In the master bathroom, the closed-in shower is reimagined as a lighted display niche with glass shelves.The relocated light-filled shower offers glass barn doors and gray-white surfaces with darker striations and hexagonal patterns and a freestanding tub replaces the previous built-in.
New medium gray-brown wood plank floors establish a coastal look elevated by on-trend painted cabinetry and shades of soft blue, blue-grays and white complemented by denim and navy blues with pops of vivid sapphire. Fabrics, shagreen finishes and custom wallcoverings add texture with 3D motifs,woven surfaces, raised white flower petals fluttering down the master bed well, shining silver highlights and cross sections of gleaming Capiz shell in the master ceiling.
