Romanza Interior Design wins eight prestigious Sand Dollar Awards

Romanza Interior Design, a full-service luxury boutique firm in Naples, was honored with eight Sand Dollar Awards for its design of residences in Port Royal, Aqualane Shores, beachfront Naples and The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Estero Bay. The company received awards for Interior Design of the Year, Best Outdoor Living Area, Best Kitchen Design and Best Master Suite, highlighting its expertise across every aspect of high-end residential design.

Presented annually by the Collier Building Industry Association, the Sand Dollar Awards program recognizes the region’s top homebuilders, interior designers, architects and other industry leaders. The awards, judged by industry experts, were announced during the organization’s annual gala.

“Recognition as a premier design firm from our peers is always meaningful, but the true measure of our success lies in our relationships,” said Steve Miller, chief operating officer for Romanza Interior Design. “We take pride in collaborating with the region’s top-tier custom builders, visionary developers and private homeowners who trust us to translate their personal visions into exceptional and innovative living experiences.”

Romanza’s design for a showcase estate at 3220 Rum Row in Port Royal received four Sand Dollar Awards in the $21 million and over category, including Best Outdoor Living Area, Best Master Suite, Best Kitchen Design and Interior Design of the Year. Imagined by Jennifer Stevens, Romanza’s senior design director, and built by London Bay Homes, the 9,643-square-foot waterfront residence balances elevated livability with high-fashion luxury. Distinctive architectural millwork complements classic, clean lines, while crisp neutral backdrops give way to rich navy, cobalt and teal accents. A sophisticated clubroom features a dramatic wine room and Parisian bleu countertops.

Romanza also won two Sand Dollar Awards for Interior Design of the Year and Best Master Suite for Stevens’ design of a mezzanine-level residence in The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Estero Bay. Organic curvilinear forms, layered textures and a luminous palette of teal, aqua and cloud-white capture the sophisticated coastal luxury of the destination and extend to the wraparound terrace. The master suite introduces softer coastal tones, grasscloth walls and abstract art, complemented by a bathroom with fluted vanities and a boutique walk-in closet.

Romanza’s design for 2021 Gordon Drive E, a showcase estate built by London Bay Homes in Aqualane Shores, earned a Sand Dollar Award for Best Master Suite. Illuminated by French doors framed by fixed windows, the room features a clean-lined aesthetic, wide-plank white oak flooring, warm earth tones and charcoal accents, plus a morning kitchen and boutique walk-in closets. Dramatic golden reverie marble floors and Calacatta dolomiti accents impart luxury in the dual bathrooms, each with floating Thazos marble vanities and tailored storage.

A transformative whole-home renovation of a 4,340-square-foot private beachfront home in Bonita Springs received a Sand Dollar Award for Interior Design of the Year. Envisioned by Romanza’s Melissa Allen, senior interior designer, the aesthetic departs from coastal clichés, embracing organic textures, weathered finishes and a calming neutral palette accented by sage and blue-green.

The renovation updated the 2000-era home by relocating the kitchen and creating eye-catching ceiling treatments and an open floor plan. The primary suite features classic white-on-white paneling, a cove-lit pyramid shiplap ceiling and a leather-wrapped wingback bed. Tailored for family gatherings, guest suites feature woven natural textures while a custom-designed navy bunkbed welcomes grandchildren in style.
